and the others are the violet syrup I already made, which I've canned for later use.
Why? Preserving the Spring herbs for use later is the only way you'll have them later to use...... :)  During this time of year many things are more beneficial.  During later seasons some things are just downright inedible.  And some things just won't be there later.  This is how they used to do it.  I can see why!
